Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A CUSTOMER CREDIT DECISION?

A: If the application is phoned in, a decision is made within minutes. If the application is faxed in, you will receive a response within 15 minutes.

 

Q: IF CUSTOMERS HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR ACCOUNT, WHO DO THEY CALL?

A: They should contact Customer Service at 1-800-250-5411.

 

Q: IS THE CUSTOMER REQUIRED TO MAKE A MINIMUM DOLLAR PURCHASE?

A: Not for most purchases, however, special financing promotions may have a minimum purchase requirement.

 

Q: CAN CUSTOMERS MAKE PAYMENTS TO THE DEALER?

A: No. All payments should be sent in the envelope provided with their monthly statement.

 

Q: IS THERE A MINIMUM PEYMENT WITH NON-PROMOTIONAL PURCHASES ON THE HVAC CONSUMER PROGRAM?

A: On consumer accounts the minimum payment is 2% of the highest new balance or $30, or Financing Charges, Late Payment Fees and Over Limit Fees plus $20 whichever is greater.

 

Q: CAN CUSTOMERS USE THEIR CARD AT ANY DEALER?

A: Any dealer that participates in the same program can accept the card.

 

Q: CAN CUSTOMERS REQUEST AN INCREASE IN THEIR CREDIT LINE?

A: Have customers call the Credit Department at 1-800-330-5189 and we will gladly review the account for adjustment. Credit line increases are usually not considered during the first six months an account is open, however, increases may be considered based on credit history.

 

Q: CAN CUSTOEMRS WRITE A CHECK OR PAY CASH FOR PART OF THEIR PURCHASE AND PUT THE BALANCE ON THEIR GE MONEY ACCOUNT?

A: Yes. However, GE prohibits dealers from accepting two GE accounts, or an additional financing option for the same project.

 

Q: HOW DOES THE NO PAYMENTS/DEFERRED INTEREST OPTION WORK FOR MY CUSTOMERS?

A: No payment is due and interest is deferred during the promotional period. For example, the No Payment/Deferred interest option does not require payments. If your customers pay off the account within the promotional period expiration date, no interest is charged. If your customers do not pay off their account during the promotional period, interest will be charged starting from the date of funding on the promotional purchase.

 

Q: HOW DOES THE WITH PAYMENT/DEFERRED INTEREST OPTION WORK FOR MY CUSTOMERS?

A: Customers must pay the minimum payment each month of the promotion. If your customer pays off the account during the promotional period, the deferred interest is waived. If your customers do not pay off their account during the promotional period, interest will be charged on the average daily balance starting from the date of funding.

 

Q: HOW DOES THE NO INTEREST/EQUAL PAYMENT OPTION WORK?

A: For this promotion the fixed monthly payment will be the promotional purchase balance equally divided by the number of months in the promotional period.

 

Q: HOW SOON WITH CUSTOMERS RECEIVE THEIR CREDIT CARD AFTER THEY ARE APPROVED?

A: It takes 7-10 days for the card to be delivered.
